Oh, Art Bar. It was a long winter without you. We admit, we flirted with some other venues. They treated us well, too, we must confess. But there’s just something about you that we can’t get out of our heads. So we’re coming back to you. It’s been almost 5 years since we met; can you believe it? We’ve grown up so much in that time, too. You might notice something a little different about us this year, starting with the 18 ft. tall aerial rig that’s going to go up in your parking lot. There might be a stiltwalker or two, as well. And maybe a new performer or five. Art Bar, no matter how superstar we get, you’ll always be our first.

Fire-spinning, world class bellydance, poetry, trapeze, lyra, silks, hula hooping, acrobalance and stilts, Alternacirque’s been rocketing along since we last left you in October. All-ages parking lot show, with sets at 9:30 and 10:30 at the Art Bar in Columbia, SC’s vista the fourth Friday of every month (March to October). Get there early for a seat, and bring lawnchairs or picnic blankets. If it’s raining (possible) or cold (we’ve been frozen the last two season openers, but we don’t think that will be as much of a problem this year), we’ll take the party indoors, which is 21+. No cover, but the urchins will hassle you for tips. Baby has a budget now. We’re excited.
